Filipino American ballerina to star in Inland Pacific ballet’s 2022 holiday production of the nutcracker

Montclair, CA — The Inland Pacific Ballet (IPB) has selected Bella Pableo, a Filipino American ballerina, to star as Clara for this year’s 2022 holiday performance of the Nutcracker, which will take place at the Lewis Family Playhouse in Rancho Cucamonga and the Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside. Tickets are available for weekend performances in December or school field trips on select weekdays online.

“We are thrilled to announce that 15-year-old Bella Pableo will take on the iconic role of Clara in this year’s Inland Pacific Ballet’s Nutcracker after performing in six seasons of our annual production in roles such as Clara’s Friend and in the Waltz of the Flowers while training with IPB for over eight years,” exclaimed Zaylin Cano Executive Director of Inland Pacific Ballet. “As a Filipino American, it’s a wonderful sentiment that she receives this honor during Filipino American History Month.”

Bella Pableo is set to star as Clara for the Inland Pacific Ballet’s 2022 performance of the Nutcracker.

Rehearsals for the Nutcracker are already underway. In its 28th production of the holiday classic, this year’s ensemble consists of 80 cast members including academy, pre-professional, and company dancers.

“It is an honor and a privilege to be casted as Clara this Nutcracker season. I appreciate this opportunity to be a role model to young dancers of color,” said Bella Pableo.
