ONTARIO, California, March 25, 2024 – The Filipino Channel (TFC) – the flagship multimedia brand of ABS-CBN Global’s group of companies – marks its 30th year in 2024 with a wealth of meaningful offerings to its audiences worldwide.  Among them is the “grandest Pinoy Party” that has been touring the globe since its overseas live debut in Singapore in 2012.

Back in the U.S. for TFC’s 30th anniversary, “ASAP Natin ‘To California” is set for August 3, Saturday, at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California.  Presented by ABS-CBN Studios and TFC, the show’s icons are confirmed to headline the gigantic concert party: Gary Valenciano, ZsaZsa Padilla, Ogie Alcasid, Erik Santos, Piolo Pascual, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and Martin Nievera.

But like in any other ASAP live concert, the surprises keep coming.  Over 30 acts will light up the stage in what is expected to be the biggest Filipino variety concert this year. More artists will be announced soon. Stay tuned to ASAP, TFC and https://mytfc.com/ASAPinCalifornia for updates.

The State, the City, and the Venue

California is the birth state of TFC, starting in a garage in Daly City in 1994.  When the top-rating ABS-CBN weekend variety show “ASAP Natin ‘To” started touring abroad, TFC has hosted ASAP in a California city every 5 years: Los Angeles in 2014, San Jose in 2019, and now, Ontario in 2024. This always delights Filipinos in California which now number over 1.5 million or over 26% of the state’s Asian population.

“The choice of Ontario as the site of our TFC30 celebration with ‘ASAP Natin ‘To’ is not random,” said ABS-CBN Global COO Jun Del Rosario, also concurrent ABS-CBN managing director of North and Latin America. “Ontario is the gateway to Southern California where one third of Filipinos in the U.S. live. The city itself is a multicultural melting pot where diverse cultures co-exist harmoniously. It ranks among the safest cities in California. It’s strategically proximal to Filipino enclaves like Rancho Cucamonga, Pomona, Chino Hills, and Riverside, and highly accessible from West Covina, Glendale, Los Angeles and all the way down from Long Beach and Carson. It is situated at the heartland of Southern California’s Filipino community. Historically for TFC also, Ontario is the site of the very first One Kapamilya Go in 2008.  So, Ontario as the venue of ASAP for TFC’s 30th anniversary is a mindful choice that aligns with TFC’s brand.”

Meanwhile, the actual venue of “ASAP Natin To California” – Toyota Arena – is a 225,000-square foot venue that is the biggest and most modern arena in California’s Inland Empire. It is extra convenient as it hosts a variety of concessions and refreshment stands, merchandise kiosks, the VIP Club and other fan amenities.  It has hosted giant live entertainment performers like Justin Bieber, Elton John, Carrie Underwood, bands like Earth, Wind and Fire, Chicago and Metallica, and even thematic offerings like Dancing With the Stars and Disney on Ice.  It also hosts sports events regularly.  The venue is near restaurants, hotels and is less than 5 minutes by car to Ontario Mills Mall, one of the largest indoor shopping malls in the U.S. with over 200 stores, including popular fashion brands, entertainment venues, and restaurants.

“ASAP Natin ‘To” is a destination, not just a show,” said ABS-CBN Global Head of Events Joseph Arnie Garcia. “The program and setting are designed for the whole family to get together and enjoy world-class Filipino hospitality and entertainment.  We look forward with much excitement to our Kapamilya celebrating TFC30 with ASAP this August 3.”
