Filipino singer and theater performer Matty Juniosa ended his “Britain’s Got Talent” journey on a high note, finishing fourth in the Series 19 final and coming within a fraction of a percentage point of the top three.

According to ITV’s official voting figures, Juniosa received 9.16% of the public vote in the finale. Anastasiia & Salsa placed third with 9.28%, putting Juniosa just 0.12 percentage point behind a top-three finish. The Hawkstone Farmers Choir won the competition with 28.72% of the vote, followed by Celestial with 13.36%.

For his final performance, Juniosa sang “Nothing Compares 2 U,” closing a memorable run that introduced him to a wider audience in the United Kingdom and among Filipino viewers around the world.

Juniosa first captured attention with his audition performance of “Purple Rain,” which earned him a Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell. He later advanced to the final after performing Aerosmith’s “Dream On,” a live-show number that earned Amanda Holden’s Golden Buzzer.

Although he did not win the competition, Juniosa’s fourth-place finish marked a strong international showing for the Filipino performer. His result placed him ahead of several other finalists in a crowded field of singers, dancers, magicians and variety acts.

His momentum is also continuing beyond the BGT stage. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s official site lists Matty J, Juniosa’s professional stage name, among the cast of “Jesus Christ Superstar” at The London Palladium, where he is set to play Annas. The production is scheduled to run from June 20 to September 5, 2026.

For Juniosa, the BGT finale was not the end of the story. It marked a national television breakthrough, and with a West End role ahead, opened a new stage for what comes next.
