Group draws global attention as “Pantropiko” clip surpasses 30 million views, leading all female acts in festival engagement

INDIO, Calif. — Filipino pop group BINI delivered one of the strongest digital performances of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2026, a global music and arts event held annually in Indio, California that serves as a major platform for international artists.

A performance clip featuring the group’s hit “Pantropiko,” posted on the festival’s official Instagram account, has surpassed 30 million views as of April 16, 2026, based on publicly visible metrics. The figure positions BINI as the most-viewed female act from this year’s festival on that platform, exceeding engagement levels for other global performers including KATSEYE.

BINI’s appearance marked a milestone for Filipino representation at Coachella, placing the eight-member group among the few P-pop acts to reach the festival stage. Aiah; Colet; Maloi; Gwen; Stacey; Mikha; Jhoanna; Sheena delivered a 42-minute set at the Mojave Tent, where crowd turnout remained dense despite a mid-afternoon schedule, supported by both their fanbase and general festival audiences.

The group’s presentation incorporated Filipino cultural elements, including gold ensembles paired with salakot-inspired headpieces. Coverage from Vogue cited the look among notable festival fashion moments, reflecting growing global interest in culturally grounded stage design.

Online traction followed quickly. BINI-related terms trended worldwide on X during and after the performance, indicating reach beyond their established Southeast Asian audience. Comparative social metrics place Justin Bieber as the most-viewed overall act, with clips exceeding 80 million views, while BINI leads female performers with more than 30 million views on a single post.

The setlist combined established tracks with newer material, including “Karera,” “Salamin, Salamin,” and “Pantropiko,” alongside “Blush,” tied to their Signals project.

Industry observers, including Billboard and Rolling Stone, have pointed to the performance as evidence of P-pop’s expanding global viability, driven by strong digital engagement and coordinated fan support.

The group is expected to launch its Signals world tour in Manila in June, with planned stops across North America and Europe.
