Wat Thai of LA donates for Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan relief

LOS ANGELES – Members of the Wat Thai Los Angeles, the Venerable Abbot of the Thai Temple in North Hollywood and Hon. Consul General Jesda Katavetin of Thailand, called on Consul General Ma. Hellen Barber De La Vega to present a check donation for Typhoon Haiyan Relief thru the American Red Cross for $ 20,506.00.

This is the result of the efforts to raise funds by the Thai Community at the Thai temple in North Hollywood. Consul General Katavetin and Mr. Thoongsuwan expressed their messages of support and sympathy for those affected by the Typhoon in the Philippines. Consul General Barber De La Vega conveyed appreciation for the donation and overflowing support from the ASEAN community, including Thailand.
