A $25,000 DONATION TO THE SALVATION ARMY IS TARGETED
Glendale, CA: Toyota of Glendale, a longtime supporter of Filipino community events and causes, announced last week the launch of its fundraising efforts to help victims of typhoon Haiyan in the long process of recovery. The dealership will donate $100 to Salvation Army Typhoon Haiyan Fund with every new or used vehicle sold through December 31st, 2013. Fleet vehicles are excluded from the program.
Toyota of Glendale set a goal of $25,000 by year’s end to bring much needed help to Filipinos hit by the super storm that devastated an entire region leaving at least 6,000 dead, 1.5 million displaced and homeless, and billions of Pesos in damages and personal loses.
The dealership is working with the Salvation Army, one of America’s most trusted organizations. Donations to victims of typhoon Haiyan will enable the Salvation Army to help people help themselves through programs that improve living conditions, raise skill levels, increase productivity and instill self-confidence.
