115th Philippine Independence Day Celebration at Los Angeles City Hall

In commemoration of the 115th Anniversary of Philippine Independence, the Los Angeles Filipino Association of City Employees (LAFACE) cordially invites everyone to attend a celebration at Los Angeles City Hall.

BERNARDO BERNARDO, a well-known award winning Fil-Am artist of stage, TV and film, will be directing and hosting the program.

Songs from the Motherland will be performed by
MON DAVID, an award winning Fil-Am jazz vocalist and composer; and
ANNIE NEPOMUCENO, an accomplished music professional.

The celebration will be highlighted by FOLK DANCES and live music from the archipelago that reflect the colorful multi-ethnic culture and history of the Philippines.

•    115th Philippine Independence Day, and
•    June as the Filipino Month

LAFACE is the only Filipino-American employee organization in existence in the City of Los Angeles.  It was formed in 1982 and currently represents over 2,500 Filipino City of Los Angeles employees.

One of the objectives of LAFACE is “to promote the economic, educational, social, and cultural advancement of Filipinos in the community.”  The 115th Philippine Independence Day anniversary is the perfect time to remind Filipinos and the whole world about our rich cultural heritage.
