President Rodrigo Duterte slammed Senator Leila de Lima for criticizing his gesture of kissing a married overseas Filipino worker (OFW) during his recent visit to Seoul, South Korea.
De Lima called it “sickening” — to which Duterte responded by threatening to release her alleged sex video.
“There’s a lady nakakulong, sabi niya na bastos daw ‘yung ginawa ko. Eh nagpermiso ako, tinanong ko. Sabi niya, what I did was indecent, bastos. Eh kung may screen lang kayo dito, ipapakita ko ‘yung x-rated niya,” Duterte said in his speech at the distribution of the Certificate of Land Ownership Award in Cabatuan, Iloilo on Wednesday, June 20.
After Duterte defended himself by saying he asked for permission before kissing the Filipina, he went on to call the detained senator the “most lewd” senator, pointing out that she either lacks common sense or is simply desperate to forget her supposed moral failings.
“Nakalimutan niya, siya ang unang pinakabastos dito. Kulang ka sa common sense for you are desperate, when you begin to be judgmental and you forget conveniently that you started the most lewd act that a senator can do,” he said.
De Lima has been detained at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center in Camp Crame since last year over drug-related charges.
