PHILIPPINE silver screen’s happily married couple and Kapuso Channel 7 Primetime King and Queen Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, who were married on December 30, 2014, heads the roster of birthday celebrants for this summer month of August.
The couple, who stars in a new sitcom entitled “Jose & Maria’s Bonggang Villa,” have two children: Zia, 6, and Sixto, 3. They are said to be very happy with their new project as it is a dream come true for them.
“It’s not just a job or a task as an actor, it’s also very, very personal for us because this is our dream,” Dingdong was quoted as saying in an April 2022 presscon. “Aside from teaming up wth each other again for a project, it’s also a dream for us to be part of a show that we are co-producing and creating.”
“This is a dream for us, especially for myself as it has been a while that I haven’t been involved in a primetime project so I told Dong that I can’t believe that this is really happening. It’s been my dream to have a sitcom with Dong, and this is that dream,” Marian said on her part at the same presser.
Dingdong, the lead actor in many of GMA-7’s teleseryes, celebrates his birthday on Tuesday, August 2, while his wife, Marian, celebrates her birthday on Friday, August 12.
Aside from their TV and movie projects, both Dingdong and Marian are one of the sought-after product endorsers in the Philippines, and also have an established presence on social media platforms. Dingdong is the founding chairman of YesPinoy Foundation and has a film studio (AgostoDos Pictures). Marian, meanwhile, has a popular vlog on YouTube, and was a judge at the 2021 Miss Universe Pageant.
