GLITTER & Gold brought some of the best Pinoy DJs in town — DJ Ting Maligaya, Dee Buen, George Garcia and DJ Mouth (Arvin Aberilla) — to Euphoria at Noypitz West Covina, a recently renovated restaurant in the heart of West Covina last Saturday, December 30.

Its new management under Hera Ramos of Bistro Filipino, another local gathering place east of Los Angeles, aims to bring back the glory days of the entertainment and dance scene in Manila.

Glitter & Gold is the first in a series of themed dance parties featuring Filipino-American and Pinoy DJs presented by Mutch Cariño of Maxx Promos, Janice Jimenez of Regal Real Estate and Financial Services, Jesse Pacleb of Party Party People and Mic Diaz of Mic Diaz Presents.

Local city officials such as City of Carson Councilmember Jim Dear as well as business leaders Angelo Varsobia of Varsobia Group of Companies, Celeste Friedman of Bontika and Javier Suarez of FastFix Jewelers were present.

Miss Globe USA Kirstin Yvonne Bangs lent a helping hand in presenting Certificates of Recognition from California State Assemblymember Mike Gipson to awardees of the 2023 Spotlight Awards such as R&B Singer Honore, JayR Vienes Datu and Ron Bills of WSDM Water; leaders of active alumni associations in the U.S. such as Gary Esteban of Letran Alumni Association and Noel Pascual of San Beda Alumni Association, Mary Ann Palencia of United Federation of Fil-Am Educators (UNIFFIED), Maria Socorro Alcaraz of Howling Gale Entertainment, Jascel, Jerome and Jevin Valencia of Junior New System and their manager Mars Visda. These certificates were facilitated by Moises Aglipay, Jr., Field Deputy for Assemblymember Gipson.

Stalwart supporters of the local dance scene such as Andy Edralin of AZE Media, former WEA dancer Katrina Llanes, and members of Party Party People such as Michelle, Mona, Milko and Monte Carlo of the Santo Domingo family; Phil Santos, Carlo and Liza Lopez, Lemuel and Rachel Pia, Peaches Pie Elegir, Charisse De Leon, Obi Camua, Regi Libre and Robbie Salvador were also present.

Birthday celebrant and wife of DJ Mouth (Arvin Aberilla) Joy Aberilla celebrated her birthday with forty of her friends and the finest selection of house, disco, new wave and hip hop this side Los Angeles.

Everyone’s invited to come and have fun at the grand opening and ribbon-cutting of Aberdeen Institute, a brand new School of Nursing that offers CNA and LVN programs, on Saturday, January 13, 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Take a tour of the campus and learn about Aberdeen Institute.
