It can be challenging to wish everyone a Happy Easter when the world is plagued by conflicts, war, and economic crises. Celebrating Easter is not easy when our lives are weighed down by uncertainties and fears. Yet, the essence of Easter is to inspire hope for a more peaceful world, to help us rise above our fears, and to surrender ourselves and the world into God’s hands. The message of Easter is that “this too shall pass,” just as it has in the past; God will never abandon us. He has saved our ancestors and forefathers throughout different epochs, and He will do the same for us in the present and for future generations.
Meanwhile, we pray for our world leaders to come together to engage in dialogue and resolve the political, moral, and economic conflicts affecting all nations. We are bound together as one humanity created by God. We must see one another as good neighbors rather than as enemies. We must continue sowing seeds of kindness, mutual understanding, compassion, and the well-being of all on this planet. We are indeed our “brother’s keeper.”
The call of Easter is not one of death, but of life. It is the reason our Lord, Jesus Christ, came to this world, suffered, died, and rose again. Life does not merely signify “eternal life”; it also encompasses abundant life here on earth, where everyone is treated with dignity. As Christians, we are called to bring “life” to all through our words and acts of kindness and love—not hatred, judgment, condemnation, or bullying and trolling on social media.
At Incarnation Church, we strive to create a world marked by authenticity, humility, forgiveness, benevolence, mutual respect, and peace. We engage with one another in meaningful ways, serving as a light for all to see. Together, we hold fast to the hope that God will continue to redeem this world.
