Actor Gerald Anderson finally confirmed about the rumors surrounding his relationship with girlfriend Maja Salvador last April 14 during the press conference of his new teleserye, Nathaniel. According to the handsome actor, he and Maja are on a break from their relationship.
Although the 26-year-old actor didn’t want to go into details, but eventually shared more.
“Opo. We are taking a break muna sa relationship namin,” he said in an interview with PEP.ph. “But okay kami. We’re on very good terms at nag-uusap kami. We’re doing this together and we’re taking this step by step together.”
Gerald also asked the press and the public to respect the privacy, and has refused to make any further comment on the real reason of their breakup.
“I don’t wanna comment. Hayaan n’yo po kaming mag-recover muna dahil hindi rin po biro ang mga pinagdaanan namin,” he said.
In connection to Gerald’s confirmation, TV talk show host Boy Abunda revealed in his show Aquino & Abunda Tonight that the couple “took a break” from their relationship for more than seven weeks now.
Gerald and Maja started their relationship in 2013 and they were very controversial due to fallout in the latter’s friendship with young actress Kim Chiu, who was the actor’s ex-girlfriend.

In an exclusive with Jessica Soho on 24 Oras last April 13, Marian announced that she’s already two months pregnant.
The Kapuso Primetime Queen shared that she feels blessed that she is carrying a human life.
“Nang nalaman namin, parang hindi nagsi-sink in sa utak namin. Parang ang bait ng Panginoon sa amin para ibigay ang isang buhay sa tiyan ko,” Marian said and added that she doesn’t mind gaining weight due to her pregnancy.
“Nang mag-asawa ako, kasunod na doon ang pagkakaroon ng anak. Bilang mag-asawa, pangarap ninyo magkaanak, na magkaroon ng isang buhay sa tiyan mo,” she explained.
For now, Marian will still be working on her new primetime series, The Rich Man’s Daughter. She will, however, be less visible in Eat Bulaga!.
“Sabi naman ng OB (gynecologist), as long as dati ko ng gingagawa ‘yon, okay lang naman na gawin,” she said.
Dingdong, of course, is just as happy about being a father, and said that the pregnancy was planned.
“Iyon din po ang isa sa mga dahilan kung bakit kami nagpursige na magpakasal—to build a family. At alam naman namin na ang pagkakaroon ng anak ay isa sa mga mahalagang bagay para sa isang pamilya. Magmula noon, ipinagdasal na po namin na ibigay sa amin, na ibibigay po sa tamang panahon,” he said.
While the couple is thankful for the public’s support and prayers for them, Dingdong appealed for privacy for him and Marian regarding the other details of her pregnancy.
