Devotees of the Nuestro Senior Padre Jesus Nazareno de Quiapo flocked the residence of beauty impresario Ferdie Syquia de Villar in South San Francisco to commemorate the 34th anniversary of the miraculous image. The nine-day festivity started on New Year’s day, January 1, and ended last January 9. Rev. Father Mark Reburiano, Pastor of Saint Isabella church in San Rafael in Marin County highlighted the celebration mass.
Heading the list of hermana mayors for the nine-day festivity is California State Commissioner Ray Benitez Satorre and his wife Rachel.
The celebration was also attended by many dignitaries and prominent people like Senator Leland Yee, Mayor of Milpitas Jose Esteves, Vice Mayor of Daly City Dave Canepa, Nerissa M. Fernandez, Head of ABS-CBN Global Marketing & Public Relations; and Rene de los Santos, Director of Philippine Department of Tourism/Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco.
