Fil-Am and American Idol Season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez has been chosen again to sing the Philippine National Anthem at the Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley rematch on April 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jessica confirmed this when she recently arrived in the Philippines. She also shared that she received a lot of praise in singing Lupang Hinirang the first time, and does not intend to change anything – whether the tune or style.
“Actually, no. I think I did a pretty good job last time. I received so many tweets and everybody wants to keep it (the same way),” she said in an interview with Pep.ph.
The young singer first sang during Manny and Timothy’s match in 2012 (where she sand the US National Anthem), and the second time at Pacman’s match with Brandon Rios last year in Macau, where she sang both US and Philippine National Anthems.
Jessica was in the Philippines with AI alum Hollie Cabanagh, Champions singers Mark Bautista, Christian Bautista, and Sheryn Regis; and The Voice of the Philippines finalists Morisette Amon and Klarisse de Guzman in the concert Solaire Turns One last March 16. All proceeds from the concert will be donated to the victims of super typhoon Yolanda. Just last March 11, Jessica was in New York for the #Pinoy Relief benefit fundraising concert where she joined another AI alum Jennifer Hudson and international sensation Charice Pempengco.

Zanjoe Marudo and girlfriend Bea Alonzo are still going strong, but the actor/model says that he is still not financially secure to consider marriage.
Fresh from the end of his current TV series Annaliza, Zanjoe said that although he has been saving money, what he has is just enough for “wants” and not for a comfortable life for his future family.
Playing a father figure to young star Andrea Brillantes’ character, he was asked if this was a trial run for him. Zanjoe shared that he sees himself as a sweet and loving father to his kids, just like how he was in the series. There is no timetable, however, to when he would want to be a father.
Of course, he is also thinking about Bea. He believes that when (and if) they get married in the future, he will not stop her from working. “…Alam ko kung gaano niya kamahal yung trabaho niya,” he said in an interview with Pep.ph and added, “”Kahit na maging mag-asawa kami o magkapamilya kami, hinding-hindi ko aalisin sa kanya yung mga bagay na gustong-gusto niyang gawin.”
