THEY were considered as the couple who most people were expecting to tie the know in the not-so-distant future. So when international singer and TV host Billy Crawford and singer/actress Nikki Gil admitted that they have indeed mutually agreed to end their relationship of more than four years, everyone was surprised and saddened.
Nikki, 25, initially confirmed to PEP.ph the news, but declined to give more details saying that she wasn’t ready to talk about the break up.
Then last July 28, Billy appeared on The Buzz, and decided to explain what has happened. Visibly sad and emotional, Billy first words were, “I’m very lost.”
The singer continued to say that Nikki had nothing to do with the failure of their relationship. “It all boils down to me,” he said and added, “…Nikki has not been anything apart from good to me. Everything I said there a while ago, you know, she is a dream come true when it comes to finding the right one. But it’s hard to find the right one kung ikaw mismo, you’re not right.”
He admitted that one of the reasons for the breakup was their busy schedule. However, he also said that “It’s so hard to love someone and to continue on if I don’t even love myself. If I’m unhappy.”
Billy also said that he didn’t want to be interviewed by the media in the first place. However, he explained that he needs everybody to stop talking on their behalf. For now, he will be leaving for the United States on August 3 to be with his parents.

Another couple who’s been in the news lately is estranged couple Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto. After confirming that her husband, Raymart has left their house, Claudine has posted some disturbing photos of her on Instagram all bruised but immediately took them off. Just this week, the actress filed a Temporary Protection Order against Raymart, claiming that he is an “abusive” husband and father to their two children, 9-year-old Sabina and 6-year-old Santino.
Along with her lawyer, Ferdinand Topacio, the 34-year-old actress petitioned the Marikina Regional Trial Court for the TPO, barring Raymart from being within 300 meters of her and their children.
Raymart, who has kept mum about their separation ever since it came out, finally sent a statement to the media. In the statement, the actor denied ever hurting anyone in his family, particularly Claudine. He has also said that his estranged wife was capable of making up stories.
Hopefully, the truth will come out — for the sake of their children.

A new beginning is in Heart Evangelista’s life now, after she has confirmed that she is on speaking terms again with her parents. It can be remembered that a few months ago, Heart’s mother came out in the media about their disapproval of their daughter’s relationship with current boyfriend Senator Chiz Escudero.
Heart shared that although she and her parents are still working on mending the fences, she is still happy that everything is well now. She also realized that one’s personal life must be private.
The actress also said that she and the Senator always try to find time to spend with each other in spite of their erratic and busy schedules.
