About Caltrans and its Stormwater Anti-Pollution Campaign:
Caltrans, the California Department of Transportation, is responsible for designing, constructing, maintaining, and operating the state’s transportation infrastructure. This includes its “Let’s Change This to That” Stormwater Campaign that is educating the traveling public on the dangers created by trash, litter, harmful chemicals and other debris left on state highways and near waterways during drier months. Come the first heavy rains, stormwater washes much of this waste and debris untreated into local rivers, creeks, lakes and the ocean. By reducing and cleaning up litter everywhere in the state, every Californian can keep our beautiful waterways and coastlines safe and clean for all.
