The couple announced the arrival of their son, Fernando León Miranda, months after sharing that they were expecting their first baby.
MANILA — Ella Pangilinan and her husband, Enrique Miranda, have welcomed their first child, a son named Fernando León Miranda, a family milestone Pangilinan announced through social media over the weekend.
Pangilinan shared the baby’s arrival through Instagram Stories on Saturday, June 6, posting a black-and-white image of Miranda holding their newborn and another image showing the baby’s feet. In her caption, she wrote that she was taking in the first moments with their son.
The announcement came months after Pangilinan shared in January that she and Miranda were expecting their first child. The couple married in December 2023, following a relationship that had drawn attention from entertainment and lifestyle readers because of Pangilinan’s well-known family.
Pangilinan is a content creator and designer, and the eldest daughter of businessman, speaker and coach Anthony Pangilinan and actress Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan. She is also the sister of actor Donny Pangilinan.
Miranda, who is not in show business, comes from a Cebu-based family with ties to the Lhuilliers and to Philippine motorsports through his brother, race car driver Daniel Miranda, the longtime partner of actress Sofia Andres.
While the announcement drew attention from fans and entertainment followers, Pangilinan and Miranda kept the moment quietly personal, sharing only a few glimpses of Fernando León as they embraced their first days as parents.
