LOS ANGELES — David Pomeranz, the internationally acclaimed multi-platinum recording artist, captivated a standing-room-only audience at Kusina Filipina Los Angeles on Friday with a live acoustic performance and an insightful book talk. Pomeranz energized fans with timeless hits including “Got to Believe in Magic,” “On This Day,” and “Born for You,” before opening up about his personal journey to overcoming insecurity and self-doubt.
Following his performance, Pomeranz discussed how the book Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health by L. Ron Hubbard empowered him to overcome the emotional struggles he experienced as a young musician.
“With Dianetics, I own creativity and am in command of myself,” Pomeranz said. “I decide something and go through with it and that was a big change with me. As an artist, I no longer suffer—I am more myself and life is just so much fun.”
In a social media-driven world where scrutiny is constant, pressures on creative professionals have intensified. A recent industry study cited that 87% of creative arts and design professionals experience intense self-doubt, the highest rate among major fields.
The release emphasizes that despite numerous self-help approaches, many artists remain trapped by anxiety and insecurity. Pomeranz, however, shared that applying Dianetics allowed him to gain control over these barriers and reshape his career.

After the discussion, fans lined up for book signings and photos. Several expressed inspiration from his message:
Susan, an attendee, said: “This is my first time hearing of Dianetics, and now I’m really curious what the book is about and how it changes people’s lives. We need books like Dianetics to raise social awareness and encourage people to think positively.”
April, another audience member, added: “It’s great to know there is a science to improve mental health. A lot of people have been affected by mental health and this should be a big help for everyone.”
Bridge Publications, based in Los Angeles, publishes the nonfiction works of international bestselling author L. Ron Hubbard. Dianetics remains the all-time bestselling book on the human mind.
