The actress has resumed work on “Whispers From Heaven,” while she and businessman Vincent Co have not publicly addressed the current status of their relationship
MANILA — Bea Alonzo has resumed filming her forthcoming television series, returning her public focus to work as questions continue to surround her relationship with businessman Vincent Co.
Alonzo is working on “Whispers From Heaven,” a political thriller directed by Zig Dulay and produced by GMA Network. The project marks her return to a continuing television drama and is among the productions tied to her 25th year in the entertainment industry.
Recent production footage showed Alonzo on location with co-star Tom Rodriguez and in discussion with Dulay. The cast also includes Maricar Reyes, Cassy Legaspi, Jason Abalos and Jake Macapagal.
Questions about Alonzo’s schedule emerged after she was absent from several production dates.
Antonio Pastorpide, the series’ senior program manager, said Alonzo’s management disclosed her previous commitments before filming began. The production adjusted its schedule and continued working on scenes that did not require her, according to his statement.
The explanation indicates that filming proceeded around Alonzo’s existing obligations. It does not establish that production was suspended because of preparations for a wedding or developments in her personal life.
Alonzo publicly confirmed her relationship with Co in August 2025, saying that they were together and that she was happy. She also indicated that she wanted to protect the privacy of a partner who was not part of the entertainment industry.
Their legal names later appeared in marriage banns announced by St. Peter the Apostle Parish in Manila.
Marriage banns are a formal notice of an intention to marry under Catholic practice. The announcement gives members of the community an opportunity to disclose any possible canonical impediment to the marriage. It does not establish that a wedding has taken place.
Neither Alonzo nor Co publicly announced a wedding date or confirmed details of a ceremony.
Co is president and a director of Puregold Price Club Inc., the publicly listed retail company founded by his family. He has continued appearing at corporate events, including a Puregold gathering in Pasay City in May.
Alonzo, meanwhile, has resumed sharing professional and travel updates through her verified social-media account. Her recent posts have included photographs from trips abroad as well as material connected to her work and business interests.
Neither Alonzo nor Co has issued a public statement describing the current status of their relationship.
