Last week, I had the honor of representing my city and state – Artesia, CA at the White House Filipino American History Month Celebration. It has been quite the honor to be an elected official invited to the People’s House of America. It is a privilege for anyone to be invited and it should never be taken for granted. I work hard every Presidential cycle so that there is always this opportunity for the Filipino American community to be welcomed here. Looking forward to more policy discussions in the future and being with changemakers and “Protectors of the White House” in the years to come. – Melissa Ramoso
