San Diego City Clerk looks to improve access to Municipal code

SAN DIEGO – Aiming to enhance access and capabilities for members of the public to use the city’s Municipal Code online, the city is soliciting feedback from members of the public on the functions and enhancements they would like to have available on a Municipal Code online platform.

The Municipal Code is a collection of city ordinances that have been adopted by the City Council over the years. It is a living document and is continually amended to reflect the standards expressed by the community to city leaders. Members of the public can access scanned copies of the Municipal Code in portable document format (PDF) on the city’s website by searching for words and phrases found within the Municipal Code.

“It is critical that we receive meaningful input from the community as we move forward with making data-driven decisions to improve the city’s Municipal Code online platform,” said City Clerk Diana Fuentes. “The information gathered from the public outreach will allow the city to provide residents with increased capacity to access essential municipal government documents.”

The city will host two public meetings in October:

  • Tuesday, October 24, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Misson Valley Library (2123 Fenton Parkway, San Diego, CA 92108)

  • Monday, October 30, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Otay Mesa Library (3003 Coronado Ave., San Diego, CA 92154).
