Office of the City Clerk increases daily passport appointments

Will offer 40 appointments daily, up from 12

SAN DIEGO – Starting Wednesday, July 5, 2023, the City of San Diego, Office of the City Clerk Passport Acceptance Facility is increasing daily appointments from 12 appointments per day to 40 appointments per day. New passport appointments will become available two weeks prior to the appointment date on the City’s Get it Done website (https://getitdone.sandiego.gov/SD_passportPage).

Additionally, the Passport Acceptance Facility will provide walk-in services weekly on Wednesdays between 9 am and 10 am. The San Diego City Clerk’s Acceptance Facility is the only agency in the county to provide walk-in services without requiring a previous appointment.

The Office of the City Clerk has been serving San Diegans as a Passport Acceptance Facility since 2013. Members of the public can call 619-533-4000 or visit the Passport Services website (www.sandiego.gov/passports) to schedule an appointment Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

“The City Clerk’s Passport Acceptance Facility provides a vital community service and we are so excited to expand our appointments to serve more San Diegans,” said Interim City Clerk Diana Fuentes. “We can think of no better way of celebrating 10 years of serving the citizens of San Diego than by increasing access to passport services.”
