PH Consulate General Welcomes First Applicants in Houston

HOUSTON 27 September 2018 — The Philippine Consulate General in Houston opened its doors to the public, with Filipinos availing of consular services on 24 September 2018.

Filipino applicants expressed gratitude for the opening of the Consulate which spared them a trip to Los Angeles, thus saving them time and money.

One applicant mentioned that she immediately postponed her flight to Los Angeles upon learning that the Consulate General in Houston is opening soon.

During the opening, Consul General Jerril Santos also received some well-wishers and addressed his team during the flag ceremony.

“I trust that all of us will fulfill our mandate with integrity and diligence,” Consul General Santos said.

As earlier announced, the Consulate General offers civil registry services such as reports of birth, marriage and death, notarial services, affidavits certification, issuance of travel documents and fingerprinting for national bureau of investigation (NBI) clearances.

Passport processing, visas, authentication services and dual citizenship services will be made available in the coming days.

The Consulate General is temporarily housed at 9990 Richmond Avenue, Suite 270N, Houston, Texas, and will move into Suite 100N at the same building by the end of the year.
