PCGSF approves 2,928 overseas voting applications filed in Q3 2023

SAN FRANCISCO – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco approved 2,928 overseas voting (OV) applications filed from July 1, 2023 to September 30, 2023, during the hearing of the Consulate’s Resident Election Registration Board (RERB) on October 16, 2023.

The Consulate’s RERB has so far approved a total of 6,721 OV applications since registration of overseas voters resumed on December 9, 2022.

The RERB is composed of Vice Consul Adrian Baccay as Substitute RERB Chair, and Ms. Genevieve Ferrer as RERB Member.

The Consulate, along with other Philippine embassies and consulates worldwide, will continue registering overseas voters until September 30, 2024.

Filipino citizens (including dual citizens) who will be outside the Philippines, are at least 18 years of age on May 12, 2025, and are not otherwise disqualified by law, may register with the Consulate as overseas voters for the 2025 Philippine National Elections. The Consulate’s method of overseas voting is postal voting, where official ballots are sent to the overseas voter’s preferred address via mail.

Registered overseas voters of previous elections who moved to a new address within the Consulate’s area of jurisdiction are also urged to visit the Consulate and apply for change of address.

Additional information on the ongoing overseas voting registration is available on the

Consulate’s official OV page: https://pcgsanfrancisco.org/overseas-voting/.
