The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco invites the Filipino communities under its jurisdiction to the Philippine Bureau of the Treasury’s online financial literacy session on Retail Treasury Bonds (RTB) on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time (5:00 p.m. Mountain Time, 3:00 p.m. Alaska Time). The session will cover the features, benefits, and available investment platforms of the RTBs.
The RTBs are Philippine peso-denominated, low-risk, fixed-income investments that provide interest every quarter. It is part of the national government’s savings mobilization program, designed to enhance retail access to government securities. Proceeds from the issuance are directed to financing the country’s priority projects and key national expenditures as approved by the national budget.
