ARK’s 2023 gala is gathering exceptional Filipinos and FutureMakers to solve hunger for good in the Philippines and beyond

ARK, an award-winning social impact organization that is solving hunger for good with farmers and fisherfolk in the Philippines, is gathering exceptional Filipinos and FutureMakers at their star-studded gala on November 2, 2023 in NYC’s Bohemian National Hall.

At the gala, ARK will celebrate a collective and incredible feat – securing food and income of 19,000 families and producing nourishing and affordable food for over 138,000 Filipinos across 8 provinces in just 2.5 years. ARK will honor partners Inabanga, Bohol’s Mayor Jono Jumamoy, and NCR Foundation Chair and NCR Atleos CEO Tim Oliver who fueled this impact.

ARK will also honor inspiring Filipinos who are leading and defining their industry. These include world renowned and the Best Female Chef of Asia winners Margarita Forés (Manila’s Grace Park, Lusso, Cibo) and Johanne Siy (Singapore’s Lolla). They will curate and helm a cocktail and 3-course dinner showcasing modern Filipino cuisine. This will mark their first collaboration in the Americas. They will be joined by Jhonel Faelnar (Atomix), who just won Wine Enthusiast’s 2023 Beverage Director of the Year, who will curate the wine pairing. Leading Filipino American chefs in NYC and DC – Louis Bayla (Grain and Cane), Mark Nobello (Atoboy), Aris Tuazon (Gugu Room, 87 Ludlow), Anton Dayrit (Tradisyon), Paolo Dungca (Hiraya DC) and Kiko Balbarin, are coming together to support our honoree chefs.

Rounding up the honorees are the Filipino-American producing team of Broadway’s new hit show Here Lies Love including Clint Ramos, Apl.de.Ap, Rob Laqui, Giselle “G” Töngi, Adam Hyndman, Georgina Pazcoguin, Dr. Mario Gallardo, DJCherishTheLuv, Don Michael Mendoza, Lora Nicolas Olaes and Celia Kaleialoha Kenney.

ARK’s Feed Back is a community-wide vegetable exchange that enables families to source their food in their backyards and to produce excess so that they become the suppliers of a whole new local food system in just 16 weeks. Because it’s self-sustaining and the impact replicable and scalable, it has become the go-to food security solution.

The gala is sold out. But everyone still has a chance to solve hunger for good via auction or direct donation at ARKSolves.org/mymark2023.
