PG&E, PAPC-USA collaborate for wildfire safety webinar

WILDFIRE season is upon us now, and more than ever Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) would like to prepare everyone in its service area to be prepared for any emergency. With this in mind, PG&E is collaborating with the Philippine American Press Club USA (PAPC) to reach as many Filipino American communities in Northern California.

The public is invited to a webinar on Monday, August 23 from 4 to 5 p.m. to learn more about wildfire safety, prevention efforts and resources to help customers with disabilities, and access, and functional needs before, during and after a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS). The Zoom link for the webinar is: https://bit.ly/PGEwildfiresafety.

During the webinar, participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and share their feedback. The webinar features a presentation from Regina Venzon, who is a Filipina American senior legal and business executive, and currently, chief of staff to the president and CEO of PG&E.

Topics to be discussed include PG&E’s Community Wildfire Safety Program, Public Safety Power Shutoff events, PG&E’s Medical Baseline Program; and other resources to help its customers prepare for the wildfire season.

The webinar will be conducted in Taglish.
