Broad coalition of San Francisco Bay Area communities and leaders host benefit for victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines

Honorary co-hosts include Congresswoman Anna Eshoo, Congresswoman Jackie Speier, Senator Leland Yee, Assemblymember Rob Bonta, Assemblymember Phil Ting, Honorable David Chiu, and nearly 100 community leaders  and organizations

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (November 20, 2013) – A broad coalition of community leaders and organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area have teamed up to help raise disaster relief funds on behalf of 10.3 million affected, over 4 million left homeless, thousands still missing and nearly 4,000 lives claimed by Typhoon Haiyan (known locally as Yolanda), as reported by the Philippine National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council as of November 18th, Manila time.
