ABA hosts kickoff event for Summer Seminar Series in LA

ON MAY 14, the Asian Business Association (ABA) hosted its kickoff event for the ABA Summer Seminar Series at the Miyako Hotel, in Los Angeles.

This first event in the series entitled “The Game Plan: Business Planning” featured experts in the area of business planning, including US Small Business Administration’s LA District Director Mr. Victor Parker, Business Consultant Mr. Michael C. Synn, and Chief Financial Officer of Roland, Mr. Thai Ngo. The panel was moderated by Ms. Farzana Nayani, ABA’s Programs and Membership Director. With an audience of 50 people, these experts discussed the key elements of a business plan, resources available to business owners, and action steps entrepreneurs could take in order to take their businesses to the next level. Centro Community Partners also demonstrated a newly developed app that helps entrepreneurs with better business planning. The seminar was held in celebration of National Small Business Week (May 12-16, 2014).

Upcoming seminars will continue to focus on skills and knowledge essential for business owners. The Summer Series continues with: “Funding, Financing, and Forecasting” on June 11 at Almansor Court in Alhambra, “Modern Marketing” on July 16 at the Miyako Hotel in Los Angeles, and “Making Your Business Mobile-Friendly” featuring Yelp on August 20 at the San Gabriel Hilton.
