Pasay City โ The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has reaffirmed its strong commitment to advancing seamless, secure, and contactless travel across the country by 2025.
CAAP Director General retired LTGEN Raul Del Rosario AFP (Ret) expressed support to implementing a biometrics solution that is compliant with the IATA OneID during the Aviation Stakeholder Dialogue held at Hilton Manila, Newport World Resorts on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 hosted by UltraPass.
The initiative seeks to align the aviation sector on the adoption of a system compliant with the IATA OneID, which establishes a unified digital identity system to enable seamless, secure, and contactless travel across the country for enhanced passenger experience. It also aims to ensure coordinated execution among airlines, airports, and government agencies, positioning the Philippines as a regional pioneer in digital travel transformation.
CAAP continues to actively support efforts to modernize and automate Philippine aviation while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory safety and security.
