Dakal salamat, tatang: Honoring father’s through kapampangan pride and tradition

In Pampanga, food has always been more than nourishment; it is heritage served on a plate. For generations, Kapampangans have gathered around the table to celebrate milestones, strengthen family ties, and pass down traditions through recipes and stories. It is this deep-rooted food culture that once earned Pampanga recognition as the Culinary Capital of the Philippines and continues to make the province a benchmark for Filipino cuisine today.

This Father’s Day, HUES pays tribute to the men at the heart of every Kapampangan family through Made for Tatang: A Kapampangan Buffet for Dad, a feast inspired by the flavors, traditions, and values that define Pampanga.

Kapampangans are known for their love of good and strong family connections. Many of our fondest memories are built around shared meals, whether during fiestas, Sunday gatherings, or special celebrations where family members come together from near and far. These moments are where stories are told, traditions are preserved, and gratitude is expressed. For many Cabalens, the dining table remains the heart of every celebration.

As families navigate increasingly busy lifestyles, Father’s Day offers an opportunity to return to what matters most: gathering around the table to celebrate the people who have shaped our lives. Through a carefully curated spread of beloved Kapampangan dishes, HUES invites families to experience the flavors that have long been part of the region’s culinary legacy while honoring the fathers who continue to lead and support their families.

More than a buffet, Made for Tatang is a celebration of Kapampangan identity, family heritage, and the enduring role of fathers in our homes. It is a tribute to the values passed from one generation to the next and a reminder that the strongest family bonds are often forged over shared meals.

This Father’s Day, gather the family and treat Tatang to a Kapampangan feast at HUES on Sunday, June 21, 2026. Guests may choose between the lunch or dinner buffet priced at PHP 999 for adults and PHP 499 for kids. As a special Father’s Day treat, dads dine free for every five paying adults and will receive a complimentary round of local beer.

After all, some of the best Kapampangan stories begin around the dining table, with family, good food, and a heartfelt “Dakal a Salamat, Tatang.”
