Art Cove at Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod Transforms with “Festive Faces” by Jojo Vito: A Vibrant Tribute to the Masskara Festival

Jojo Vito’s Masskara Festival Exhibit, the Festive Faces

Art Cove at Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod is thrilled to announce the successful launch of Jojo Vito’s art exhibit, “Festive Faces,” marking a remarkable transformation from his previous installation, “Gilded Expressions.” Jojo Vito, Bacolod City’s renowned mask maker, professor, entrepreneur, and blogger, has brought new life to the exhibit, captivating audiences with his fresh perspective.

The inaugural exhibit, “Gilded Expressions,” themed around the allure of gold, silver, and glitter, not only captured hearts but also etched its name as the best-selling installation in Art Cove’s history.

Due to its overwhelming popularity, the hotel decided to extend the exhibit and, in collaboration with the artist, reimagine it as “Festive Faces.”

“Festive Faces” pays homage to the vibrant and lively Masskara Festival, an iconic celebration that lights up Bacolod, known as the City of Smiles, throughout October.

This exhibit also symbolizes the rich tapestry of human expressions, feelings, and experiences.

“Each mask serves as a reflection of not only myself but also the diverse spectrum of humanity,” expressed Jojo Vito, whose dedication to the art and profound ties to the Negros community resonates

within all 14 meticulously crafted pieces within this collection.

One of the standout pieces in this exclusive collection is the “Haciendera Mask,” an embodiment of luxury and opulence during Negros’ golden era with its vibrant red and gold hues.

In contrast, the “Esmeralda Mask” is inspired by the strength of Bacolodnons. This mask serves as a powerful symbol of resilience and equilibrium in the face of adversity.
