Los Angeles, CA – The Filipino American Business Association of Glendale – Greater Los Angeles County (FABAG-GLAC) successfully held an early Christmas / Holiday Party and TOY collection drive at PINAS Food House (former Nanay Gloria) owned by one of FABAG’s Board Members, May Mallari, in Glassell Park.
“What a way to start this very special month with a successful, full house and fun Christmas / Holiday Party” said Fr. Rodel Balagtas from Incarnation Church of Glendale, CA. He praised FABAG for all the positive and good things they do for our communities these past 35 years.
LA Philippine Consulate Deputy Consul General Gamble spoke about the Consulate’s voting programs and encouraged dual citizens to register to vote until 2027 for the 2028 national election.
FABAG President Edith Fuentes expressed their heartfelt thanks to those who joined the
celebration. “We appreciate all of you. We can feel the LOVE … so, let’s continue on with Hope, Faith and JOY” said Fuentes.
In attendance also were Assemblymember Jessica Caloza, LA Philippine Consulate Deputy Consul General Ma. Alnee Gamble, Glendale Commissioner JR Ongkeko and wife Chit, Ar. Lucille Floresta of UAPSoCal, Perla Bermudez Santos, Founder of MoTHER Movement and members, and most of all – FABAG’s Board Members – Aida Rasper, Ami Bautista, Carissa Totalca, Joy Garcia, Jo Solomonson, Olivia Lopez, along with their Families and Friends.
This is the 2nd year that FABAG is helping collect toys for the Glendale Fire Department’s “Spark of Love” Toy Drive. All TOYS collected at the event will be donated to Glendale Fire Dept. who will then distribute to needy children.
The Old Fashioned Carolers entertained attendees again with many Christmas songs and sing a long. The Program included dance contest, exchange gifts, raffles, 50/50, lots of mix-mingle time and announcement of upcoming FABAG projects and community outreach programs.
The event ended with Team FABAG wishing everyone the best of the Holiday Season.
