After a hard-fought loss at the Oeiras Ladies Open, Filipina tennis star Alex Eala gears up for the European clay season — with Madrid, Rome, and her first-ever Roland Garros main draw appearance on the horizon.
OEIRAS, PORTUGAL – Alexandra Eala’s WTA 125 campaign at the Oeiras Ladies Open ended in the Round of 16 after a tight two-set battle against Hungary’s Panna Udvardy. The 19-year-old Filipina dropped the match, 6–7 (4–7), 4–6, following a rain-delayed second-round victory earlier in the tournament.
Despite the loss, Eala remains upbeat and focused as she transitions into the heart of the European clay-court season — a critical stretch leading to her long-awaited Grand Slam main draw debut.
