SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA – Sofronio Vasquez, the Filipino vocal powerhouse who rose to fame as the Season 26 winner of The Voice USA, recently added another milestone to his fast-rising career: a moving onstage collaboration with music icons David Foster and Katharine McPhee.

The performance took place during the Vino con Stelle gala held at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Arizona, a benefit event organized by Gateway for Cancer Research. The evening, dedicated to raising funds and awareness for breakthrough cancer treatments, featured an intimate lineup of performances—and Vasquez stood tall among them.

Introduced by his Voice coach and mentor Michael Bublé, Vasquez joined Foster in a stirring performance of “The Impossible Dream,” a fitting tribute to his journey from humble beginnings in the Philippines to the American music stage. Later in the evening, he shared the spotlight with Foster and McPhee in a soaring rendition of “The Power of Love,” made famous by Celine Dion.

“This was more than just a performance,” Vasquez wrote in a Facebook post following the event. “It was an honor to be working with the David Foster and of course with the ever gorgeous Katharine McPhee. Thank you Michael Bublé for making extra things just to rally my dreams in music.”

A Voice That Resonates

For Vasquez, who captured hearts with his heartfelt performances and unfiltered sincerity throughout his Voice run, the gala marked not just a career high but also a personal dream fulfilled.

In an Instagram story shared shortly after the event, he reflected on the experience:

“It’s one thing to sing next to a legend, and another to feel seen, heard, and supported. David and Katharine made me feel all that and more.”

Sofronio Vasquez delivered a heartfelt rendition of the classic “The Impossible Dream”, accompanied by David Foster on piano.

Though the performance was part of a one-night event, it signaled growing recognition of Vasquez’s talent within the global music community. With Foster, a 16-time Grammy Award-winning producer, and McPhee, a Broadway and pop recording star, sharing the stage, Vasquez’s appearance underscored his ability to hold his own among world-class artists.

A Dream Still Unfolding

There are no official announcements yet regarding future collaborations between Vasquez, Foster, or McPhee. However, his recent performance hints at new possibilities and solidifies his reputation as an artist to watch.

Michael Bublé, who coached Vasquez to victory on The Voice, continues to be a vocal supporter. Industry insiders believe this appearance could open new doors, not just on stage but in the studio as well.

For now, Vasquez remains grounded.

“I’m just a boy who had a dream, and now I get to live parts of it—with the best in the world,” he shared. “I’m here for all the stories, the songs, and the soul.”

From the Voice stage to a gala under the Arizona stars, Sofronio Vasquez continues to remind the world: this is just the beginning.
