Controversial TV host Willie Revillame announced last May 21 that his popular program Wowowillie on Kapatid TV5 will not renew its contract the network.

Before his announcement, there were rumors circulating that the network will not renew its contract with Willie.  However, the popular TV host explained that he personally wrote TV5 Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan that he needs some time off from work.  He also added that there are personal reasons for not continuing the show, but he cannot elaborate on it.

Willie’s contract with TV5 is until October 15, so the show, he said, will probably air only until October 12.

Although his announcement did not give any confirmation about the real reason behind the demise of his show, there were hints from Willie that his fans will be able to watch him again — but on a different channel.  There were reports that the cause of the non-renewal of his contract was because of the talent fee he was asking from TV5 to the tune of “P90 million per month.”  Of course these were denied by the Willie’s side.

Let us wait and see when and where we will be able to watch Willie’s new show!

It was a short-lived marriage and a tumultuous one.

A number of people were surprised when comedienne Ai-Ai delas Alas admitted last month that she and then current boyfriend Jed Salang tied the knot in via civil ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada last Apri 3l.  However, a few weeks after, rumors were already floating around about their separation.  Just last May 19, Ai-Ai broke her silence about the real reason why she left Jed.

In an interview with Boy Abunda (who is also Ai-Ai’s manager) on The Buzz, the comedienne was clearly a picture of a distressed wife.  Admitting that she and Jed separated since May 2, Ai-Ai also sadly shared she was verbally and physically abusive her estranged husband is.  The last straw for her was when he threw her on the bed and dragged her on the floor when she didn’t agree with his idea to celebrate their “monthsary” at a casino hotel.  This was in spite of the fact that Ai-Ai gave Jed a Camaro car as gift.  There was also the matter of infidelity on the part of Jed, with the comedienne discovering that the alleged girlfriend works at a casino.

After the explosive interview, fans and supporters of Ai-Ai started bashing Jed via his Instagram account, posting comments such as “user,” and other below-the-belt comments.  Ai-Ai’s son Sancho first started the war on Instagram, vowing to fight for his mom.  Just recently, Sancho also confirmed that they were able to get the P3 million Camaro back and have found a buyer for it.

Hopefully, Ai-Ai will recover from this heartbreak and find the right man for her.
