Actor says experience has taught him to value discernment, boundaries and peace of mind

Joshua Garcia is taking stock of what more than a decade in show business has taught him.

Garcia made the remarks during a recent Star Magic Spotlight press conference. Speaking about his years in the industry, the actor said experience has taught him that not everyone around a public figure is necessarily present for the right reasons. The comment was framed as a personal reflection on maturity and self-protection, not as an allegation against any specific person.

The actor said he now places greater value on peace of mind and on the people who have remained sincere in his life. His statement adds to recent comments about growth, pressure and the need to maintain boundaries while working in an industry where personal and professional attention often overlap.

Garcia’s latest reflections come as he remains active onscreen through “Love Is Never Gone,” a Prime Video series from ABS-CBN Studios that pairs him for the first time with Ivana Alawi. The production has drawn attention for its Morocco-set storyline, a rare international location for a Filipino streaming drama, and for placing Garcia in a romance-suspense role built around migration, deception and personal reinvention. The cast also includes Jameson Blake, Jane Oineza, Michael de Mesa, Epy Quizon, Dina Bonnevie, Fyang Smith and JM Ibarra.

Garcia first gained wider attention after “Pinoy Big Brother: All In” and later became one of ABS-CBN’s most visible leading men. His latest comments suggest an actor focused not only on career longevity, but on the boundaries needed to sustain it.
