MANILA — Filipino singer and actress Angeline Quinto announced on Wednesday her upcoming graduation from college this June, a milestone she achieved while navigating motherhood and a high-profile entertainment career.
Speaking at a press conference for her contract renewal with ABS-CBN’s Star Music, the 36-year-old artist revealed she will receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing Management, from the Immaculada Concepcion College on June 16. Quinto admitted she had kept her enrollment a secret from her husband, Nonrev Daquina, and her immediate family to surprise them with the final achievement.
“Fulfilling a dream has no age limit,” Quinto said during the event. She noted that she pursued the degree to honor her late adoptive mother, Sylvia “Mama Bob” Quinto.
The path to her degree was marked by significant personal and professional overlaps. Quinto completed academic modules while pregnant with her second child, Azena Sylvia, and during the filming of the Philippine adaptation of What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim. She acknowledged the immense difficulty of the workload, admitting she once petitioned professors for a chance to rectify a failing grade due to her intense filming schedule.
Beyond her academic success, Quinto’s contract renewal with Star Music, One Music Management, and KreativDen signals a robust schedule for the remainder of 2026. Her upcoming projects include new original soundtracks, a solo concert, and further acting roles. She received support from fellow artists like Regine Velasquez and Kyla during the ceremony.
Quinto, who rose to prominence as the winner of the television talent competition Star Power in 2011, is celebrating her 15th year in the industry. As one of the most recognizable voices in Original Pilipino Music (OPM), her graduation marks the fulfillment of a long-standing promise and serves as a testament to her professional resilience in the public eye.
