Tinikling by Holy Family Filipino Dance Group
GLENDALE, Calif. — The 4th Annual “Celebrate YOUniqueness Festival” at the Glendale YMCA brought together more than 800 attendees, highlighting the city’s cultural diversity through food, music, dance, and community exhibits.
The festival showcased a wide range of cultural traditions, with performances by Armenians, Filipinos, Koreans, Latinos, Irish and Hawaiian-Polynesian groups. Guests enjoyed international food samplings and explored exhibits featuring arts, crafts, books, music and more.
“The City of Glendale is one of the most diverse cities in LA County, and this event brings everyone together,” said Councilmembers Elen Asatryan and Dan Brotman.
The event drew participation from local officials and community leaders, including LA Philippine Consulate Deputy ConGen Maria Gamble, Senator Sasha Perez, a representative from Assemblymember Caloza, Glendale Mayor Ara Najarian, as well as officials from the fire and police departments, GCC, GUSD and many others.
Community and nonprofit organizations were also represented, led by the Filipino American Business Association of Glendale (FABAG-GLAC), LA Korean Foundation, Armenian Association, Glendale Latino and more.
