Artists and colleagues are remembering veteran concert producer Susan Lim for a career that spanned Philippine productions and overseas tours for Filipino performers.
Lim died Sept. 14. Pops Fernandez, Martin Nievera and Roderick Paulate were among those who later shared public tributes, recalling both her work in entertainment and their longtime friendships with her.
Lim had been active in production since at least the early 2000s. Contemporary reports identified her with Big Slim Entertainment, which produced a 2003 Manila concert featuring “Meteor Garden” stars Ken Zhu and Vanness Wu with actress Barbie Hsu. Later that year, the company was also involved in a Philippine concert featuring all four members of F4.
Her work later extended to the North American Filipino entertainment market. In 2022, Lim, then identified with Big Slim Entertainment, worked with Nancy Yang of NY Entourage Productions on planned U.S. concert tours for Alden Richards and Gigi de Lana.
More recently, Lim was part of the team behind the SexBomb Girls’ reunion concert series, which began in December 2025 and expanded into additional Philippine performances and overseas dates.
During the group’s Australian tour in April, Rochelle Pangilinan publicly thanked Lim, identifying her as a co-producer with NY Entourage Productions.
Fernandez recalled Lim as a longtime friend whose interest in concert production dated back to her younger years. Nievera said Lim had supported his career and Fernandez’s and helped bring them on U.S. tours. Paulate also paid tribute to their friendship.
Lim was married to former SexBomb member Cynthia Yapchingco, who announced her passing and shared a personal tribute.
