The Filipino Channel hosts town hall on the Philippine presidential election

THERE are less than nine days left before you either go to a Philippine Consulate/Embassy, or mail your absentee voter’s ballot to cast your vote on the next president, vice president, senators, and other elected officials of the Philippines. Have you made up your mind on the candidates to vote for?
If you are still an undecided voter or may be leaning toward certain candidates but are still doing your due diligence in learning more about them, then please watch The Filipino Channel’s special town hall presentation: The Fil-Am Vote: Halalan 2016.
Get to know the background of each presidential aspirant through a comprehensive report by our Canada Correspondent Marieton Pacheco. Find out the stands and plans of each of these candidates, in their own words, on how to address the very issues that matter to us Fil-Ams: corruption, the needs and problems of overseas Filipino workers, and the Philippines territorial dispute versus China. Be informed through the incisive reports on this issues as presented to us by Balitang America’s broadcast journalists Paul Henson, Henni Espinosa, and Don Tagala.
Watch representatives of each candidate speak on their behalf in a substantive and spirited discussion. Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is represented by Atty. Adnan Alonton, community leader Art Garcia for Sen. Grace Poe, youth leader Julius Fernandez for Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago, Daly City Commissioner Ray Satorre for VP Jejomar Binay, and Atty. Ted Laguatan for Former DILG Sec. Mar Roxas. Hear the probing questions of the studio audience addressed to these speakers.
I am moderating this town hall forum.
Make an informed decision in this election. Watch it this Sunday, May 1, at 5:00 pm on The Filipino Channel. Vote wisely.
