Manami Resort, a MICHELIN one-key resort in Sipalay, Negros Occidental, represented not only its home province but the Philippines at PURE Life Experiences 2026, held in Marrakech, Morocco from September 7 to 10, 2026.
Representing Manami Resort at the international gathering were Marketing Head Denise Alfaro and Property Head Giro Solatorio, who joined a global community of luxury travel professionals for several days of meetings, conversations, and opportunities to introduce Manami, and the Philippines, to the international travel market.
A Global Gathering for Experiential Luxury Travel
PURE Life Experiences is an international gathering dedicated to experiential and bespoke travel, bringing together a curated community of luxury travel advisors, agents and consultants, hospitality properties, destination representatives, and international media from different parts of the world.
For properties like Manami, the event provides an opportunity to meet the travel professionals who work directly with discerning travelers and recommend destinations and experiences to their clients. It also creates a platform for properties and destinations to build relationships with international media and travel partners.
Held in Marrakech, Morocco, PURE brings together professionals from across the global travel industry, creating a space where destinations and properties can share what makes their places distinct.
Representing More Than Manami
As the only exhibitor representing the Philippines at the event, Manami carried with it a larger story to tell, not only of a resort in Sipalay, but of the Philippines as a whole.
For Manami, participating in PURE was an opportunity to introduce international travel professionals to a side of the Philippines that is often less familiar to the global luxury travel market: its quieter destinations, rich local culture, natural landscapes, and deeply rooted sense of hospitality.
“Being the only Philippine exhibitor made our participation especially meaningful. We weren’t there simply to represent Manami, we also wanted to open conversations about Negros Island and the Philippines as a destination worth discovering,” said Denise Alfaro, Marketing Head of Manami Resort.
Taking the Philippines Further
Manami joined PURE Life Experiences with the goal of strengthening its relationships with international travel advisors and consultants, while creating greater awareness of the Philippines among travelers seeking meaningful, nature-led and culturally rooted experiences.
The resort believes that promoting the Philippines internationally goes beyond attracting visitors to individual properties. It is also about encouraging travelers to discover more of the country, from its islands and coastlines to its communities, cuisine, culture, and natural heritage.
For Manami, this means sharing the story of Negros Occidental and Sipalay with an audience that may not yet have considered the region as part of their Philippine journey.
“There’s so much more of the Philippines to discover beyond the destinations that are already well known internationally,” Alfaro added. “We hope that through these conversations, more travelers from around the world will become curious about the Philippines and experience the country in a more meaningful way.”

Manami’s participation at PURE Life Experiences 2026 marks another step in the resort’s efforts to build international relationships and position Sipalay, Negros Occidental, and the Philippines within the global luxury travel conversation.
