Graton Resort & Casino opens smoke-free gaming floor, new dining venues in expansion project

Now Open: AYA Rooftop Restaurant, Playbook Sports Bar, and SoCo Dough Co. Dessert Shop

ROHNERT PARK, Calif. — Graton Resort & Casino has opened a new phase of its expansion project, unveiling a 144,000-square-foot smoke-free gaming floor alongside new dining and entertainment offerings at the Sonoma County resort.

The expansion was formally introduced during a May 4 ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the opening of the new casino area and three food-and-beverage venues: AYA Rooftop Restaurant, Playbook Sports Bar and SoCo Dough Co. Dessert Shop.

According to Graton Resort & Casino, the new gaming floor is fully smoke-free and forms part of the property’s broader expansion plans.

AYA, the centerpiece of the new dining development, is a rooftop restaurant led by award-winning chef Roy Ellamar. The venue features Coastal California cuisine with Asian influences and panoramic views of the Sonoma Hills region, according to resort materials.

The resort also held a May 7 grand-opening celebration at AYA attended by guests from the entertainment and sports industries, including Mario Lopez, Carmen Electra, Nikki Bella, E-40, Hunter Pence, Festus Ezeli, Kelenna Azubuike and former San Francisco Mayor London Breed.

Graton’s May promotional schedule also includes the resort’s “$8,000,000 World Apart Giveaway,” held on Saturdays through May 30. According to the resort, drawings take place hourly from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., with cash prizes and free slot play awards. A vintage Ford Bronco is scheduled as the grand prize during the final drawing event on May 30.

The resort’s entertainment calendar this year includes performances by television and music acts from Asia and the United States.

TVB performers Raymond Cho, Ben Wong, Michael Tong, Evergreen Mak and Johnson Lee appeared together at the resort as part of the “Hey Brother” concert event held May 9.

Comedian Atsuko Okatsuka is scheduled to perform June 26 at The Event at Graton Resort & Casino. Public tour listings and venue materials identify the performance as part of her current comedy tour.

Filipino pop group BINI is also scheduled to perform Aug. 7 as part of the group’s “Signals World Tour 2026.” The eight-member group has gained international attention through streaming platforms, touring and festival appearances, including participation in the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, according to entertainment industry and tour reports.

Graton Resort & Casino, owned by the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria, opened in 2013 and has continued expanding its gaming, hotel and entertainment operations over the past decade.
