The University of the Philippines Alumni Association of Greater Los Angeles (UPAAGLA) is seeking outstanding and high-achieving U.P. Alumni to be recognized in their first Alumni Awards Program scheduled on October 29, 2020.
Patterned after the U.P. Alumni Association Awards in the Philippines, UPAAGLA aims to identify and recognize the contributions of exceptional U.P. alumni in the Greater Los Angeles area, from Kern County to Orange County in the following categories: Service, Leadership, Most Distinguished, Lifetime Distinguished, and Family Recognition.
UPAAGLA President and Selection Committee Co-Chair, Ethel Rubio said, “This is our way of highlighting Filipino-Americans who are U.P. alumni and making a difference not only in the Fil-Am community but the whole Greater Los Angeles community at large.” All U.P. alumni in the community (UPAAGLA members and non-members) are invited and encouraged to participate in the ongoing nomination and Awards Program.
