Beauty from a Different Perspective

This has become the primary importance for Age-Management/Anti-Aging, Aesthetics and Skin Health expert, Dr. Gisela Trajano-Sarmiento. Evidently, it has also become her moving force to establish Skeen Face and Body Centre five years ago introducing innovations and breakthrough skin care and body solutions for her clients. She also reinforces her main advocacy on health and wellness while providing a therapeutic interpretation to her patients.
Her area of expertise mainly revolves in using minimally invasive and non-surgical treatments in achieving resounding outcomes. Dr. Gisela is best known for creating customized and holistic treatments for each of her patients.
Dr. Gisela Trajano-Sarmiento received her medical degree from University of Perpetual Help Rizal – Jonelta Foundation School of Medicine Las Piñas. She also holds a degree in Medical Technology from San Juan De Dios Educational Foundation, Inc. Then later focusing on the Aesthetics and Anti-Aging area of studies.
Being in the aesthetics industry for a decade now, Dr. Gisela is well versed with special trainings and technology updates all over the Philippines and abroad. With all these across-the-board and advanced studies on the latest trends and modern technologies, she presents and teaches innovative aesthetics procedures to colleagues.
As a practitioner of Aesthetics, Age-Management, Regenerative Medicine, Skin Health and Dermatologic Surgery, she underwent training under Dr. Hanjin Kwon in Seoul Korea, thus becoming the trainer, speaker, and one of the very first aesthetics practitioner in the Philippines to introduce the Ultra V-lift (UVL), a fine thread lifting technique; 3D Ultra V-Lift (3D UVL), Twisted, Tornado versions; Pioneer in HIKO, a non-surgical nose lift and alar reduction utilizing PDO fine thread. She is also one of the pioneer in Botulinum Toxin face and neck lift called Dermalift utilizing intradermal technique of Dysport to avoid the frozen look.
Aside from that, she is also the speaker and pioneer of Fractionalized Microneedling with RF Thermolysis & Iontophoresis (Microcell) from which she underwent training in Hongkong under DermoAesthetics group, then authored the clinical trial study in the Philippines. She is a pioneer and speaker of the world’s first Maximus Trilipo Tripollar Radiofrequency, Skin Resurfacing Fractional Radiofequency with trainings under Pollogen International Israel. Likewise, she’s one of the speaker for the world’s finest and latest technology of Grid Fractional RF (Intragen) having been trained by Jeisys International Korea.
At the latest, Dr. Gisela is a pioneer and speaker of another FIRST in the country: “XLASE Advanced Multi Laser” – hailed as the world’s most advanced platform in laser technology, made from Italy.” She also underwent trainings from National Skin Centre in Singapore and American Academy of Aesthetics Medicine (A3M). Just recently, Dr. Gisela also took additional trainings in 3D Micropigmentation Tattoo, Food Intolerance Test and Acupuncture to further advance her adept in the field.
In this essence, she gives prime attention to significant details and focuses on out-of-box assessments and resolutions. As seen in her every consultation with her clients where it becomes a teaching session from which she shares some anatomy and physiology pointers.
“We explore further what the patients need. From there, we both come up with collective decision on what procedures to arrive and on what conclusions to derive based on the collective agreement.”
Call it innate in Dr. Gisela’s exuberant and conversant persona, as she is a seasoned medical mentor, lecturer and speaker having been a familiar personage to several medical and non-medical scientific symposiums and conventions here and abroad. She’s also a resource figure in television and radio shows.
Her fascination with aesthetics and beauty brought her closer to this profession viewing beauty in different approach, thus relating it in a multi-cultural, multi-dimensional, multi-planar and even multi-colored aspects.
“It has always been my mission to bring back self-esteem and youngness to each person. There’s beauty in different angle but you need to present beauty at its natural way in one plate. That’s the most important thing. It is embodied in Skeen’s system for repairing damage, prevention and maintenance which can bring the glow and youthfulness to your skin whether it be your face or body.”
Currently, Dr. Trajano-Sarmiento is a fellow of the International College of Surgeons, a fellow of the Philippine Academy Aesthetics and Age-Management Medicine, fellow of Philippine Academy of Medical Specialists, co-founder and fellow of the International Academy of Medical Specialist. She is also a member of American Academy of Aesthetics Medicine (A3M), the World Society Interdisciplinary Anti-Aging Medicine, Philippine Medical Association, Las Piñas Medical Society, Philippine Academy of Non-Surgical Aesthetics, First Philippine Stem Cell Society, and the Philippine Association of Regenerative and Cellular Science.
In addition to that, Dr. Gisela holds key opinion leader title for 16 companies and as a renowned member of 12 medical societies, six of which she holds official responsibilities.
With all these affiliations and recognitions tucked under her belt, Dr. Gisela admits that there is so much learning to do, as science is an evolving process. She reiterates that she’s open for more professional studies who is always in a “constant search for learning and adapting to new technologies everyday”.
Lastly, another added milestone in Dr. Gisela’s achievement is being the pioneer of soon-to-be launched international wellness center, the very first to open in the Philippines. Bringing in the most studied medical evidence based, and gold standard concept of natural healing, wellness and cellular revitalization with cutting edge technology of devices and treatments based from Switzerland.
