Gerald Anderson is concentrating on acting, his expanding hospitality business and a project about communities along the West Philippine Sea, saying another relationship is not among his immediate priorities.
The 37-year-old actor said at a recent media event that he would rather allow romance to develop naturally than rush into a relationship.
“Right now, I’m manifesting more about the West Philippine Sea, about business, about career,” Anderson said.
His relationship with actress Julia Barretto ended last year. Star Magic and Viva Artists Agency confirmed in September 2025 that the two had mutually ended their relationship and urged the public to avoid speculation about the separation.
Anderson has since devoted more attention to businesses in Zambales. In April, he opened Trivera, a river resort in Cabangan, his second property in the province. His earlier Botolan resort began operating in 2020 and later expanded to include camping accommodations.
He is also working with SOLORA Philippines to add glamping structures to his hospitality ventures.
Acting remains his main profession. After the conclusion of the ABS-CBN action drama Blood Vs. Duty, Anderson said he began filming an action-comedy project for Netflix with Jerald Napoles. Other production details have not been announced.
Anderson also leads Pusong Bayani, a four-episode online series about fisherfolk, military personnel and coastal communities connected to the West Philippine Sea.
Promoted to auxiliary captain in the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary in 2024, Anderson has said the program seeks to explain the issue through the experiences of people living and working in Palawan and Zambales, while emphasizing diplomacy over confrontation.
