In photos: Members of the outreach team render consular services to applicants in Las Vegas
The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles conducted a consular outreach mission in Las Vegas, Nevada, from 01 to 02 August 2026, facilitating a total of 1,307 services and transactions during the two-day activity.
The outreach served Filipinos residing in Southern Nevada, as well as applicants who traveled from nearby communities in California and Arizona. Post rendered passport, dual citizenship, consular notarization, civil registration, Assistance-to-Nationals, and overseas voting registration services.
The Social Security System (SSS) and the Migrant Workers Office in Los Angeles likewise provided their respective services during the outreach. Philippine National Bank participated as an institutional partner and extended on-site banking assistance that complemented the SSS services offered during the mission.
In addition to its regular services, the Consulate General set up an Assistance-to-Nationals helpdesk during the outreach to raise community awareness of the assistance available to Filipinos in distress and the channels through which they may seek help.
In coordination with the Migrant Workers Office in Los Angeles (MWO-LA), the team also conducted an Immigration Information Seminar for J-1 visa holders.
Led by Consul General Adelio Angelito S. Cruz, the outreach team also included Consul Marie Cris P. Chieng, Consul Ralph Jacob Viloria, SSS Representative Genaro T. Estacio, MWO-LA Officer-in-Charge Maria Corazon Venus N. Abad, Joy Ellen B. France, Ramon C. Nerida, Ma. Antoinette B. Villa, Edelwina C. Valencia, Ramoncito A. Mendoza, Ligaya G. Sarabia, Ligaya A. De Jesus, Maria Ruby R. Aquino, and Aristotle C. De Leon.
The successful conduct of the mission was made possible through the support of the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Las Vegas, in partnership with Fil-Am Civic Action International, Inc. (FACAI), and with the assistance of Filipino community leaders and volunteers in Southern Nevada.
The Philippine Consulate General continues to prioritize the conduct of outreach missions in areas outside Los Angeles with significant Filipino populations. Through these missions, Post brings essential consular and other government services closer to overseas Filipinos who would otherwise have to travel considerable distances to the Consulate General’s offices in Los Angeles.
