Binibining Pilipinas 2026 winners crowned

Gwendoline Soriano and Sasha Lacuna earn Philippine assignments to Miss International and The Miss Globe

QUEZON CITY, Philippines — Gwendoline Meliz Frias Soriano of Baguio City and Sasha-Juli Belle Penuliar Lacuna of Tarlac were crowned title winners of Binibining Pilipinas 2026 during the pageant’s 62nd coronation night on July 18 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Soriano received the Binibining Pilipinas International 2026 crown and the Philippine assignment to Miss International. Lacuna was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2026 and will represent the country at The Miss Globe.

Julianne Raine Amigo Antonio of Dumaguete City was named first runner-up, while Tracy Mae Sunio of Bacolod City finished as second runner-up.

The results followed a competition involving 35 candidates in swimsuit, evening-gown and question-and-answer segments. The field was reduced to 12 semifinalists and then to four finalists: Soriano, Lacuna, Antonio and Sunio.

Each finalist was given 40 seconds to answer the question about the future she envisioned and how a Binibining Pilipinas title could help her achieve it.

Soriano received Best in Swimsuit, Best in Evening Gown, Binibining Philippine Airlines and Binibining Urban Smiles.

Other award recipients included Anne Klein Castro of Pampanga as NUSTAR Online Binibini; Jarina Kumari Sandhu of Cauayan, Isabela, for Binibining The MedClub; Pauline Thea Ann Ibuyan of Aklan for Binibining Tourism; Georgette Nicole Coronacion of Carmona, Cavite, for Binibining Friendship; and Zilanni Eve Rojas of Zamboanga City for Face of Binibini.

Samantha Marie Zabarte of Dasmariñas, Cavite, received the Manila Bulletin Readers’ Choice award.

Five candidates were recognized for Best in National Costume: Mylene Manschus of Tanza, Cavite; Ain Niqyla Abad of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Zabarte; Iris Oresca of the Bicol Region; and Patricia Lynn Beerda of Iloilo.

Former titleholders Catriona Gray, Mary Jean “MJ” Lastimosa, Miriam Quiambao and Nicole Cordoves hosted the program. P-pop group ALAMAT performed during the swimsuit presentation, while Jericho Rosales and Kyle Echarri appeared during evening-gown segment.

Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc., chaired by Stella Márquez-Araneta, organizes the pageant.

Soriano succeeds Katrina Anne Johnson as Binibining Pilipinas International, while Lacuna succeeds Annabelle Mae McDonnell as Binibining Pilipinas Globe.
