The P-pop group becomes the second Filipino honoree of the award, following Sarah Geronimo’s recognition in 2024.
LOS ANGELES — P-pop girl group BINI received the Global Force Award at the 2026 Billboard Women in Music, marking another international milestone for Filipino music following the group’s recent Coachella appearance.
The award was presented April 29 at the Hollywood Palladium. Billboard Philippines selected BINI as its Global Force honoree, making the group the second Filipino act to receive the distinction after Sarah Geronimo in 2024.
Model and actress Cara Delevingne presented the award, citing the group’s global reach and growing influence.
Members Colet and Jhoanna accepted the recognition on behalf of the eight-member group. Colet described the honor as more than a milestone, saying it carries responsibility as BINI represents Filipino music on the global stage. Jhoanna thanked supporters and concluded in Filipino: “Salamat at mabuhay ang musikang Pilipino.”
The recognition follows BINI’s recent performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which Philippine and international music outlets described as a significant breakthrough moment for the group.
BINI — composed of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna and Sheena — is scheduled to continue its international expansion with the “Signals” world tour. The tour is set to open with Philippine dates in June before proceeding to international stops, including the United States, Canada and parts of Asia.
The Global Force recognition places BINI among a growing list of artists cited by Billboard’s regional platforms for advancing music beyond domestic markets, reinforcing the Philippines’ expanding presence in the global pop landscape.
