Renato Villa Adriano, aged 80, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024, in Manila, Philippines. Born on May 22, 1944, Renato was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend who was deeply respected for his belief in the transformative power of education. He was known for engaging in lively debates with his children, fostering critical thinking, and independence—hallmarks of his commitment to their personal and intellectual development.

An avid reader and walker, Renato found joy in singing Frank Sinatra songs, often delighting his family with his rendition of “A Whole New World,” a favorite of his eldest granddaughter. His faith was a cornerstone of his life; he regularly attended Calamba Parish Church, where he found solace and community.

Renato is survived by his beloved wife, Alice Adriano; his children, Janelle Adeloga Adriano Parra, Janette Cleofas Adriano, Claire Marie Adriano Plastina, Adrian Ace Adriano, and Arvin Leonilo Adriano; his sons-in-law, Armando Parra and Elmer Plastina; his daughters-in-law, Maria Teresa Samelin Adriano and Jasmin Alvarez Adriano; his cherished grandchildren, Janine Chelsea Adriano Carpena, Jasmine Kaitlyn Adriano Parra, Janelle Amanda Adriano Parra, Mark Lester Adriano Ochave, Robbie Gerard Adriano, Hannah Francesca Adriano, Cassandra Leigh Adriano, and Samantha Jade Adriano; his sisters, Imelda Adriano Robledo, Alicia Adriano Mutuc, Ligaya Adriano Castelo, Zenaida Adriano Binos; his brother Ferdinand Lopez Adriano; his nieces Judy Anne Beck, Maria Carmelle Robledo, Iris Icaonapo, Melaine Mutuc Aure, Catherine Adriano Binos Sumague; his nephews,   Joel Adriano, Pepito Adriano, John Paul Adriano, Anthony Robledo, Carlito Robledo, Cocoy Robledo, Michael Mutuc, Melville Mutuc, Carlo Castelo, Czerwin Castelo, Liberato Castelo III, Glenn Binos, Jay Jay Binos, and Kiko Adriano.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucio Adriano, and Vicenta Villa Adriano; his brothers, Marino Adriano, and Virgilio Adriano; his sister Leticia Lachenal; his niece Judith Adriano Quejano; and his nephew John Michael Adriano.

Memorial services will be held at the Rizal Chapel (St. Peter) on Chipeco Avenue, Barangay Lecheria, Calamba City, Laguna, Philippines, from September 30, 2024, through October 3, 2024. Renato’s life was marked by profound dedication to family and an unwavering belief in the power of education. His legacy will continue to inspire those he touched with his love and wisdom.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to his best friend, Eddie Pabellaran and his daughter, along with the Alvarez and Vidal families, Cizel Tabunda, and Maria Teresita Siongco, for their unwavering support throughout his life.
